AP REQUIREMENTS:

  • Explore Performance Task (16%) due before April 30th, 2019 DELETED by AP in 2020 (YAY!)
  • Create Performance Task Using Programming language of your choice (30%) due before April 30th, 2023
  • Multiple Choice Exam (70%) (12:00 Noon on Monday, May 8th, 2023)

Those requirements are designed to:

  • Test your basic programming skills
  • Test your evaluation skills
  • Test your engineering writing skills
  • Test your knowledge of six specific "BIG IDEAS:
      1. Creativity
      2. Abstraction
      3. Data & Information
      4. Algorithms
      5. Programming
      6. The Internet

Our curriculum comes to us from the good folk at Code.Org (a national organization created by industry leaders in Seattle to dedicated to getting more computer science classes in our school)
